While I agree with the professors fundamental point, that the US has unnecessarily become engaged in too many wars, his enthusiasm for his anti-war beliefs has led him to grossly exaggerate the number of bases the US has. Just one example, the US does not have 25 bases in the UK as he has represented. Total number of US airbases and other bases used is ten which include NATO bases. I do not agree with the professor that we should close our bases in the Southeast Asia and let China take Taiwan and have its way as it pleases. Sometimes appeasement doesn't work. Remember Hitler?

Hello, China is not a threat to the neighbours. China has only 1 base in DJibouti. There is no, except a few man-made islands in the South China Sea specifically to defend against the US aggression and not against any countries in the region, except a few countries which pawn themselves to the US.
